Everything you need to know about working with a doula. Don't see your question here? Reach out — I'd love to chat.
A doula provides continuous emotional, physical, and informational support during pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period. I am not a medical provider — I do not perform clinical tasks or make medical decisions. Instead, I help you feel informed, supported, and empowered to make the choices that are right for your family.
I recommend reaching out during your second trimester (around 20–28 weeks), but it's never too early or too late. Early contact gives us time to build a relationship, discuss your birth preferences, and prepare together. I also take clients later in pregnancy when availability allows.
Absolutely. I support families in all birth settings — hospitals, freestanding birth centers, and home births throughout the Denver, Boulder, Golden, and surrounding Colorado areas. Your birth, your choice, your space.
Yes! One of my favorite parts of this work is supporting partners. I help your partner feel confident and involved by suggesting comfort measures, explaining what's happening, and giving them breaks when needed. A doula enhances the team — we don't replace anyone.
Placenta encapsulation is a traditional practice where your placenta is steamed, dehydrated, and placed into capsules for you to consume during the postpartum period. Many families report benefits including improved energy, mood stabilization, and increased milk supply. I use the Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) method with lemon, ginger, and jalapeño.
Yes, I understand that investing in doula support is a significant decision. I offer flexible payment plans so that finances are not a barrier to receiving the support you deserve. We can discuss options during your free discovery call.
I serve families throughout the Denver metro area, including Denver, Boulder, Golden, Lakewood, Arvada, Littleton, Aurora, and surrounding communities. For families outside this area, please reach out — I'm happy to discuss options.
I have a trusted network of experienced backup doulas who share my philosophy and approach. In the rare event that I am unavailable, your backup doula will be briefed on your birth preferences and will provide the same compassionate support. We will discuss this plan during our prenatal visits.
The first step is a free discovery call! This is a relaxed, no-pressure conversation where we get to know each other, I learn about your needs and hopes, and you can ask any questions. From there, we'll decide together if we're a good fit.
